My name is Hobo. They say I am a stray, that I am homeless. But i'm not. My home is the garden, the trees, the leaves I get under when it's cold. I am doing Ok. It's all I ever known.

Sometimes I see someone that looks like my kind, behind the window there in that house. I wonder if it is dry in there and warm all the time. Food maybe? I don't know. They must be special, or maybe captives? Who knows. Life is what it is.

I know I don't want to be abducted and who knows what happens when they come and get us. I heard of places where they just do you in. But there are some of my old friends that show up with something around their necks little bells and stuff. They tell stories of nice tall beings that treat them well. It's where they now live. Before dark they have to go back to their houses. Curfew yuk!
